About me
Renae Misner has spent 36 years proving that vocal music education is equal parts discipline, joy, and controlled chaos. She is the Director of Vocal Activities and Musical Director at Lawrence High School, where she has kept the focus on student-centered music-making and lifelong musicianship. A devoted barbershopper, she sings in a quartet with her son—because harmony is better when it runs in the family. Retiring this year, Renae leaves the classroom with a full heart, strong chords, and absolutely no regrets about choosing music.
