About me
Hailey Francoeur is a music educator, percussionist, and arts administrator committed to creating meaningful, high-quality musical experiences for students and communities. She currently serves as the Band Director at Sanford High School, where she leads a comprehensive 9–12 instrumental music program. Beyond the classroom, Hailey is the Tour Operations Manager for the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, overseeing national housing, logistics, and daily operations for a world-class DCI ensemble. She also serves as the Head of Community Relations for Silent Command, where she develops strategic initiatives that strengthen relationships with performers, educators, alumni, and arts organizations while supporting recruitment and organizational growth. Hailey is an active percussionist and conductor, having performed with the Casco Bay Wind Symphony as both a percussionist and graduate conducting student. She previously taught private percussion lessons at the Midcoast School of Music. A graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a Master of Music in Wind Conducting and Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education, Hailey is recognized for both her musical leadership and her service to the profession. She was honored as the 2024 Maine Music Educators Association Outstanding New Music Educator and currently serves as Vice President of the Maine Band Directors Association. She is an active member of NAfME and MMEA and regularly participates in professional development through the Midwest Clinic, Maine All-State Festival, NHMEA events, and national advocacy work.
